Added Value
An added value/benefit that BOR-SON
can provide to its customers is the ability to self perform in several key trades:

>> Concrete
>> Masonry
>> Rough and Finish Carpentry

Having the ability to self perform in these areas has the potential to provide the owner with many benefits:

>> Control of production and quality since      they are BOR-SON crews
>> Lower overhead
>> More effective value engineering since
we have hands-on/current production      estimates, and material cost and      availability

Since 1957, BOR-SON has prided itself on customer satisfaction. Each customer has their own unique set of needs and processes that they want their construction service provider to meet.

As a result of this effort, BOR-SON today provides a full range of services that are designed to meet our customers needs and processes to build their facility with quality, cost effectiveness and in a professional manner.

Preconstruction Planning
Starting with preconstruction services, the BOR-SON team works with the owner and often times the architect and other key subcontractors to value engineer a project to insure maximum functionality and cost effectiveness. Spending time value engineering upfront affects not only cost, but often times schedule and functionality as well.

General Construction
General construction is the traditional process. Utilizing this process, the owner works with the architect first to develop a set of drawings, which the contractor can than price (bid).

Design-build
A large number of our customers choose this process for their project. It typically gives the owner a single point of contact for the whole process. In addition to having a single point of responsibility, the design-build process incorporates much, if not all of the value engineering elements provided by preconstruction planning.

Depending on the completeness of these drawings, the owner and contractor will enter into one of several types of contractual relationships.
